Q. Do I have to pay for a quotation?
A. Of course not! It will be our pleasure to visit you to discuss and agree the work to be carried out.
Q. Will it be noisy and messy?
A. There will always be some noise and mess involved in such work, but we will keep it to a minimum and clear away each day to minimise the inconvenience to you and your neighbours
Q. Do I have to pay in advance?
A. No. We will agree a payment pattern with you when we come to do the quotation.
Q. What choice do I get?
A. We will bring samples of the range of paving we offer.
Q. Do you need access to water and electricity?
A. On some occasions, but this will always be arranged with you.
Q. Do I need permission from the Council?
A. Any work involving changes to the pavement or kerbs outside of your house will need approval, but in most cases work within your own boundary will not.
Q. What depth is the foundation?
A. This will depend on the soil type and the type and weight of traffic to be carried, but in order to ensure a long lasting finish we will always excavate to a depth of at least 200 mm.
Q. How thick are the blocks?
A. This depends on the type of traffic to be carried, but most of our work for domestic driveways is in 60mm blocks.
Q. What about drainage?
A. We will discuss water flows with you and incorporate proper falls and drainage to ensure that you do not step out of your car and into a puddle!!
Q. How long will it take?
A. We will give you a start and finish date when we agree the work with you.
Q. How long will it last?
A. We take many steps to ensure that your work will last for many, many years, from using the best materials to digging out to the proper depth and ensuring that the work is on the right foundation.
